Taken at a house in Upland, California, the footage was captured through a Ring surveillance camera installed by the homeowners. The start of the video shows the bear prowling behind the gate of the driveway, before sneaking out of sight. Soon after, the delivery driver can be seen walking straight up to the driveway where the bear is lurking. A motion sensor can be heard going off, alerting the homeowner through an app, who was out shopping at the time....

Facebook announced Tuesday it took down 155 accounts, 11 pages, nine groups, and six Instagram accounts from China because they allegedly violated company policy “against foreign or government interference.” The term is defined as “coordinated inauthentic behavior on behalf of a foreign or government entity.” While the alleged operation was deemed to have little impact, no clear political agenda and inconclusive links to state actors, its activities have caught the eyes of U....

Shares in the Jack Dorsey-led website plunged by roughly seven percent last Friday as the news broke that consumer goods giant Unilever was halting its ad spending across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter in the U.S. until at least the end of 2020. Creators Get More Control of Their Content Facebook previously let users claim music and video rights—but now, users will get to do the same with images. The platform unveiled its Rights Manager for Images in an About Facebook blog post. The new tool allows creators to upload a CSV file of their images’ metadata to a Facebook database. Facebook bots can then use this information to track matching images across both Facebook and Instagram....

Nick Clegg, vice president of Global Affairs and Communications at the company, confirmed on Sunday that it will not be blocking Russians using Facebook and Instagram. In a series of tweets, Clegg explained the actions Facebook has taken to prevent misinformation from being spread during the conflict, but added Meta will not be removing access to Facebook and Instagram in Russia. “People in Russia are using FB and IG to protest and organize against the war and as a source of independent information,” Clegg said....
